Sometimes you just have to blog when you find a new piece of music and this is my new CD from AB next door - Mavis Staples singing You Are Not Alone - wow, she is sooo good. But sometimes other things happen as well. Today I had a skype call from Australia, 3 wimin professors who will be visiting the UK in November and I swear to gawd they were a wee bit tipsy! Of course it was 9pm their time on a Friday night and they had drunk champagne but phew, have to say in all truth - I couldn't get a word in edgeways! Still, its good to know you are not alone - even if they are 10,000 miles away in Adelaide - I love this song and the live version has such charm.Friday, 17 September 2010
