FiftyFive

And then another month fell off the year, October was about as driech as usual but we can't wish it away, can we? This morning I did something rare, I wrote a poem. It was 5.30am and I couldn't sleep so I sat at my desk with a pencil and this came out - straight off, no editing and I may never do anything else with it, except post it here:
Halloween
has been
October too has faded
Monday's moon will be full
if we can see it through November clouds
autumn struggles to keep winter at bay
but still
a day's a day
and the only thing we waste is life itself
if we let it slip away...

love this layered song by Imogen Heap
